Consultations and Appointmentscalendar

We operate an appointment system. Please phone to make an appointment giving as much notice as possible if a specific doctor or time is required.  You will be sent a text message to your nominated mobile phone number to remind you.  Please ensure we have the correct number on record.

When an urgent situation arises a patient will be seen as soon as can be arranged within the same working day by contacting the surgery.

If you would like to speak to the doctor by telephone please arrange a telephone consultation with the reception staff.

The precise details of the surgery rota are too complicated to summarise easily. The doctors normally have one half day off per week and during absences cover is normally provided by the remaining doctors.

At present we are currently operating a telephone triage system in which a GP or Advanced Nurse Practitioner will call you back to discuss your ailment. Only at this point, will a Face to Face appointment be offered if the clinician feels that it is necessary.

If you are asked to attend the practice for a face to face appointment then please:

  • Wear a face covering
  • Do not arrive too early for your appointment as you may be asked to wait outside (please arrange your appointment to suit bus times if necessary)
  • Come alone to your appointment if possible
  • Use hand sanitizer provided at the entrance to the practice and in the waiting areas

Please see the short clip below from NHS Fife regarding COVID-19 and General Practice

Practice Nurses

In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many ailments and you may be seen more quickly.

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
